昨天Cubs戰之前,好幾個beat writers下標題, a good road trip or a great road trip? 沒錯,依照Reds進幾年的紀錄,6-4的road trip將會是個不錯的結果. It will be a good one.但是昨天是跟所有媒體預測的分區冠軍 Cubs對戰.今年他們還沒有輸掉任何一場系列戰.Reds正準備拿下這次旅程的第三場序列戰. Reds Ace "Horse" Harang 對上 Cubs "Big" Zambrano. We all thought the steak was high. 球員需要這一場勝利,head to head 的對上分區強隊,在客場拿下序列戰. 球迷也需要這場勝利,經歷了連八年的losing seasons. 拿下Astros and Brewers,但最後輸給 Cubs只會讓球迷覺得這是Deja Vu all over again. The Reds can't beat a good team.

結果是Reds 的王牌 Harang再度的在無隊友火力奧援下表現傑出,我知道比數是7:1.但是前六局還是投手對決.最後是防守定生死.而後在七局後火力才開.Reds拿下了這個里程碑的勝利. Therefore, it's a GREAT road trip.

這個road trip.在打擊幾乎完全熄火.除了Votto以外.打擊沒有一個正常的.現在Reds打擊還在全聯盟30隊中墊底.靠著是投手跟牛棚傑出的表現.好的防守, Willy Taveras, Brandon Phillips, Alex Gonzalex,even Edwin Encarnacion都有精彩的守備.加上幾個Clutch hits.Reds出人意外的拿下了三個序列戰.讓人驚艷.

Pitching and Defense, so far so good. I start buying it. 打擊再爛,只會更好了.這個球隊讓人期待.

Are they a playoff team? I would say not yet. But they are fun to watch, and they COULD be a playoff team, we will see.
