Stats you might be surprised to see...Brandon Phillips has gotten a hit in each of his last nine starts...he's hitting .341 with four homers in that span. Jay Bruce is hitting .373 with five homers since coming back from the hand injury. Willy Taveras is on pace to walk 55-60 times. OK, not a lot, especially for a leadoff guy. His previous career high: 36. The non-Mike Lincoln portion of the bullpen has held opposing hitters to a .218 batting average.
